We just got off the CBBT heading to SNH
My weather app says high chance of thunderstorms in SNH for the next 2 hours.
Is that what you are seeing?
It’s been a lousy drive down the eastern shore.

I just got nailed about an hour ago on the pier just West of Ocracoke. Still drying out on the couch.

Made it to our rental. Was given an early entry code as we were here an hour before checkin time
Heavy rain most of the way down…….
Hit the WMB and those gray clouds disappeared
It’s 70 and blue skies!!

Thunder and lightning crashing here in Hyde county. Just lost power, on battery back-up right now.

Oh no! Stay inside with the pups! Hope power comes back on soon!

We tried a walk on the beach but we were getting sand blasted.

BF: glad the power is back on. Some wild weather you experienced! I have to use a pneumonic device to figure out port and starboard and always go with port to the left with 4 letters for left. Gets me through difficult concoctions!

Sitting here reading your post BF and coincidentally the wind just started to blow pretty hard. Our last guest left 15 minutes ago so no worries about the power going out now.

Our trees ...hundreds of them...have been whipping around the last hour on our little Bent Mtn. ridge. Kinda scary and lights have flickered a couple of times. I've been swiffering and vacuuming for the last couple of hours since dog sitting for our two grand dogs that left today. No parties here! Ha! Hoping this front goes away on the east and hoping it doesn't stay for Lollys anniversary trip.

Well it wasn't a party, just a Sunday dinner thing with family and friends that we do every other weekend or so.
